Questions & Answers
I HAVE A QUESTION?

How strong is the Gi material used in the uniforms?
All Our Gi Material is manufactured using a 500gram cross-pearl weaved material of which is both strong and durable.
How tough are the tactical products?
All our tactical products are initially tested to breaking point through live blade competitions held by the KMA Association Shadow Trials. For example our tactical jackets are constructed using three layers of 300 gram Twill fabric, with an internal support framework. Each tactical Karlta shape is a 3mm layered alloy, of which can take direct cuts from a Katana blade without being compromised.
Why are there different types of Armour plating used?
We use either 8mm tactical alloy rods or 3mm Alloy plates or Karlta in the construction of our tactical products. This is to give the customer a variation or preference depending on style or requirement, but also in relation to maintaining flexibility when on manoeuvres to allow maximum flexibility of limbs and joints of the body when field training or competitive work.
Are products water resistant?
Unfortunately none of our products are water resistant, however it would be beneficial before taking any tactical products outdoors to purchase a water resistant fabric spay, and allow to dry for 12 hours before using.
Why is the lace up design used over the velcro for the tactical gear?
Traditionally Japanese armour was always either corded or lace tied to the body in order to keep component part ridged and secure when engaged in battle or on manoeuvres. Even though Velcro can appear to be more user friendly, it does have it's flaws, as component parts are only secure at the point of the straps, inhibiting unexpected movement with constant re-adjustments to equipment or gear worn by the user. This is why lace up designs are more preferable and reliable to use in armour.
What is a product processing times?
As all our products are manufactured by hand, and made to order. The product processing time for completing each order can vary considerably depending on how many component parts are required for each order or unit manufactured.
On each product page below the product description, there will be an indication as to each products processing time, prior to despatch, but not inclusive of delivery time. This will give a realistic indication as to when you will receive your order if you including transit time.
